Democrats are laying the groundwork for revolution right in front of our eyes.

As if 2020 were not insane enough already, we now have Democrats and their ruling class masters openly talking about staging a coup. You might have missed it, what with the riots, lockdowns and other daily mayhem we’re forced to endure in this, the most wretched year of my lifetime. But it’s happening.

It started with the military brass quietly indicating that the troops should not follow a presidential order. They were bolstered by many former generals—including President Trump’s own first Secretary of Defense—who stated openly what the brass would only hint at. Then, as nationwide riots really got rolling in early June, the sitting Secretary of Defense himself all but publicly told the president not to invoke the Insurrection Act. His implicit message was: “Mr. President, don’t tell us to do that, because we won’t, and you know what happens after that.”

All this enthused Joe Biden, who threw subtlety to the winds. The former United States Senator (for 26 years) and Vice President (for eight) has not once, not twice, but thrice confidently asserted that the military will “escort [Trump] from the White House with great dispatch” should the president refuse to leave. Another former Vice President, Al Gore, publicly agreed.

One might dismiss such comments as the ravings of a dementia patient and a has-been who never got over his own electoral loss. But before you do, consider also this. Over the summer a story was deliberately leaked to the press of a meeting at which 100 Democratic grandees, anti-Trump former Republicans, and other ruling class apparatchiks got together (on George Soros’s dime) to “game out” various outcomes of the 2020 election. One such outcome was a clear Trump win. In that eventuality, former Bill Clinton White House Chief of Staff John Podesta, playing Biden, refused to concede, pressured states that Trump won to send Democrats to the formal Electoral College vote, and trusted that the military would take care of the rest.

The leaked report from the exercise darkly concluded that “technocratic solutions, courts, and reliance on elites observing norms are not the answer here,” promising that what would follow the November election would be “a street fight, not a legal battle.”

Two more data points (among several that could be provided). Over the summer, two former Army officers, both prominent in the Democrat-aligned “national security” think tank world, wrote an open letter to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs in which they urged him to deploy the 82nd Airborne Division to drag President Trump from the Oval Office at precisely 12:01 PM, January 20, 2021.

About a month later, Hillary Clinton declared publicly that Joe Biden should not concede the election “under any circumstances.” The old English major in me interprets the word “any” to mean “no,” “none,” “nada,” “niente,” “zero,” “zilch” “bupkis”…you get the idea.

This doesn’t sound like the rhetoric of a political party confident it will win an upcoming election.

The Cover-Up in Plain Sight

These items are, to repeat, merely a short but representative list of what Byron York recently labeled “coup porn.” York seems to think this is just harmless fantasizing on the part of the ruling class and its Democratic servants. For some of them, no doubt that’s true. But for all of them? I’m not so sure.

In his famously exhaustive discussion of conspiracies, Machiavelli goes out of his way to emphasize the indispensability of “operational security”—i.e., silence—to success. The first rule of conspiracy is, you do not talk about the conspiracy. The second rule of conspiracy is, you do not talk about the conspiracy.

So why are the Democrats—publicly—talking about the conspiracy?

Because they know that, for it to succeed, it must not look like a conspiracy. They need to plant the idea in the public mind, now, that their unlawful and illegitimate removal of President Trump from office will somehow be his fault.

Never mind the pesky detail that the president would refuse to leave only if he were convinced he legitimately won. Remember: Biden should not concede under any circumstances.

The second part of the plan is either to produce enough harvested ballots—lawfully or not—to tip close states, or else dispute the results in close states and insist, no matter what the tally says, that Biden won them. The worst-case scenario (for the country, but not for the ruling class) would be results in a handful of states that are so ambiguous and hotly disputed that no one can rightly say who won. Of course, that will not stop the Democrats from insisting that they won.

The public preparation for that has also already begun: streams of stories and social media posts “explaining” how, while on election night it might look as if Trump won, close states will tip to Biden as all the mail-in ballots are “counted.”

The third piece is to get the vast and loud Dem-Left propaganda machine ready for war. That leaked report exhorted Democrats to identify “key influencers in the media and among local activists who can affect political perceptions and mobilize political action…[who could] establish pre-commitments to playing a constructive role in event of a contested election.” I.e., in blaring from every rooftop that “Trump lost.”

At this point, it’s safe to assume that unless Trump wins in a blowout that can’t be overcome by cheating and/or denied via the ruling class’s massive propaganda operation, that’s exactly what every Democratic politician and media organ will shout.

Stop the Presses

What then? The Podesta assumption is that the military will side with the Dems. There are reasons to fear they might. The Obama administration spent a great deal of political capital purging the officer corps of anyone not down with the program and promoting only those who are.

Still and all, determining the outcome of an election would be the most open political interference possible from our allegedly apolitical military, and it’s plausible that the brass won’t want to make its quiet support of the ruling class agenda that overt. The aforementioned Chairman has already stated that the military will play “no role” in the outcome of the election. That’s probably not a feint, but one wonders if it will hold given the obvious attempt to influence military thinking by people like Jeffrey Goldberg in his recent Atlantic essay.

Can the Dems rely on the Secret Service to drag Trump out? I have my doubts on this one. I’ve seen the Service up close; it really is (or strongly appears to be) apolitical. It has a job to do: protect the president, whoever that is. Officers take that job very seriously. If they don’t believe Trump lost, I don’t think they can be counted on to oust him. On the other hand, were they to believe he did lose and was refusing to leave—a scenario I find impossible to imagine but the Democrats insist is just around the corner—it’s possible the Service might act.

Barring all that, what’s left? Remember that phrase from the Dem war game: “street fight.” In other words, a repeat of this summer, only much, much bigger. Crank the propaganda to ear-drum shattering decibels and fill the streets of every major city with “protesters.” Shut down the country and allow only one message to be heard: “Trump must go.”

I.e., what’s come to be known as a “color revolution,” the exact same playbook the American deep state runs in other countries whose leadership they don’t like and is currently running in Belarus. Oust a leader—even an elected one—through agitation and call it “democracy.”

The events of the last few months may be interpreted as an attempted color revolution that failed to gain enough steam, or as a trial run for the fall. Is the Trump Administration prepared?

Here’s one thing they could do: play their own “war game” scenario so as to game out possibilities and minimize surprises. They should also be talking to people inside and outside of government whom they absolutely trust to get a clearer sense of who on the inside won’t go along with a coup and who might.

They also need to set up or shore up—now—communication channels that don’t rely on the media or Big Tech. Once the ruling class gives word that the narrative is “Trump lost,” all the president’s social media accounts will be suspended. The T.V. channels, with the likely exception of Fox News, will refuse to cover anything he says. Count on it. He’s going to need a way to talk to the American people and he has to find the means, now.

For the rest of us, the most important thing we can do is raise awareness. If there is a conspiracy to remove President Trump from office even if he wins, they’re telling you about it precisely to get you ready for it, so that when it happens you won’t think it was a conspiracy; you’ll blame the president.

Don’t be fooled.

Isaiah 9:8-21 CSB

The Lord sent a message against the government; it came against the USA. All the people will know it. They will say with pride and arrogance, “The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with cut stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.” The LORD has raised up America’s adversaries against her and stirred up her enemies. Bind up the testimony. Seal up the instruction among my disciples. I will wait for the LORD, who is hiding his face from the USA. I will wait for him. Here I am with the children the LORD has given me to be signs and wonders in America from the LORD of Armies who dwells in Heaven.

When they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the spiritists who chirp and mutter,” shouldn’t a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living? Go to God’s instruction and testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, there will be no dawn for them.  They will wander through the land, dejected and hungry. When they are famished, they will become enraged, and, looking upward, will curse their king and their god. They will look toward the earth and see only distress, darkness, and the gloom of affliction, and they will be driven into thick darkness.

This took place during the administration of Trump, when he and the patriots went to fight against Washington, but they were not able to conquer it. When it became known to the patriots that Antifa and BLM had occupied the major cities, the heart of Trump and the hearts of his people trembled like trees of a forest shaking in the wind. The LORD said to Isaiah, “Go out with your son Shear-jashub to meet Trump. Say to him: Calm down and be quiet. Don’t be afraid or cowardly because of these two smoldering sticks, the fierce anger of Antifa and BLM. For Antifa, along with BLM and the Democrats, has plotted harm against you. They say, ‘Let’s go up against the USA, terrorize it, and conquer it for ourselves. Then we can install Biden as king in it.’” This is what the Lord GOD says: It will not happen; it will not occur. If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you will not stand at all. Then the LORD spoke again and said: “Ask for a sign from the LORD your God—it can be as deep as Sheol or as high as heaven.” But Trump replied, “I will not ask. I will not test the LORD.” Isaiah said, “Listen, Trump! Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men? Will you also try the patience of my God? Therefore, the Lord himself has given you a sign: See, the virgin did conceive, have a son, and named him Immanuel. By the time he learned to reject what was bad and chose what was good, he was eating curds and honey. For before the boy knew to reject what was bad and chose what was good, the land of the USA will be abandoned. The LORD will bring on you, your people, such a time as has never been since America separated from Great Britain: He will bring the king of enemies.” On that day the LORD will whistle to flies at the farthest waves of the Atlantic and to bees in the land of California. All of them will come and settle in the steep ravines, in the clefts of the rocks, in all the thornbushes, and in all the water holes. On that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the oceans—China and Russia—to shave the hair on your heads, the hair on your legs, and even your beards. On that day a man will raise a young cow and two sheep, and from the abundant milk they give he will eat curds, for every survivor in the land will eat curds and honey. Democrats love to claim that their party underwent a metamorphosis in the 1960s, when they finally washed away the taint of slavery past.  The Rebellion, in which Democrats played principal roles in causing, was a century in the rearview mirror.  Goes the spin: Democrats vanquished their post-Civil War record of virulent racism, which expressed itself in Jim Crow (Southern apartheid) and the atrocities of the nightriding KuKlux Klan — the party’s white-garbed brownshirts — who ranged beyond the South, terrorizing blacks in states where Democrats concentrated.  

As we view the Democratic Party from the vantage point of October, 2020, we see that the party’s character is unchanged. The party of slavery, rebellion, and Jim Crow has found new expressions for its darker inclinations. 

Antifa and BLM are knockoffs of the KKK.  Riots and mob violence in blue cities are very much the provocations of the party’s new strongarms.  Trashing and terrorizing cities aren’t an end, but a beginning.  They’re demonstration projects of sorts.  Roadshows are to follow if the rest of us don’t knuckle under.      

Democrats have never lost their appetite for oppression.  Underclass blacks are as exploited and kept down today as blacks were in the Jim Crow South.  Now, though, they’re given welfare checks, public housing, and handhelds in exchange for votes.  Democrats’ “Great Society” schemes empowered white and black overseers and lined their pockets, but decades ago failed to lift poor blacks out of their circumstances.  Black generational poverty is bondage. 

Racism remains the Democratic Party’s franchise.  Blaming nonblack Americans for racism and underclass black failure is audacity borne of desperation.  Politics demand it.  So, Democrats offload their culpability.  They’ve run major cities for many decades, yet have nothing to show but empty promises and miserably bad policies and corrupt governance.  Say Democrats, white Americans – save for woke affluent progressives and leftists — must suffer for the sin of racism, current and historic. 

Democrats aren’t discriminating, however.  They want to “plantationize” Hispanics.  Democrats political viability requires capturing Hispanic constituencies. 

Charges of society-wide racism are a powerful wedge that Democrats are using in their efforts to upend America.  The American experiment in liberty was illegitimate, per Democrats radicalizing view.  Tyranny — under the guises of “progressivism” and “democratic socialism” — is the prescription, perhaps a softer variety, like Xi Jinping’s China, where a social credit system is daily refined, and where oligarchs and leftist apparatchiks thrive. Though ask Hong Kong citizens, Tibetans, and Uyghurs about what “soft tyranny” means.  Today’s Democrats have more than rebellion on their minds.  They have revolution.   

What’s the Green New Deal but a form of economic revolution, a means of drastically reordering society through the ruse of environmental concern?  Medicare for All, which destroys Medicare for seniors, is thinly disguised socialized medicine.  Vilifying and making calls to defund police is nothing more than an effort to undermine law and order.  What is Critical Race Theory other than an insidious attack on bedrock American principles?

Hence, modern Democrats pose new, and in critical ways, greater threats to the well-being of the Republic than their forerunners.  

Marx, not God, increasingly informs their worldviews.  Faith was once invoked by Democrats to rationalize slavery and white supremacy.  Today, Marxism in practice is slavery.  Marxism is the antithesis of Judeo-Christian faith.  Charity, equality, and brotherhood cannot be coerced.  Marxism is all sham.  It has no good intentions.  It’s a means to an end: power.  

Among Democrats, nihilism afflicts.  It’s the practical consequence of godlessness.  It’s end-stage rot.  The rot — a consuming hedonism — began infiltrating society with the 60s counterculture and has been metastasizing ever since.  An outgrowth, in part, is Democrats contempt for traditional virtues: family, faith, hard work, merit.

But Democrats, old and new, reconverge in historic fashion.  While old Democrats embraced, defended, and promoted the abomination of slavery, contemporary Democrats likewise champion abortion.  Abortion has been referred to as the slavery issue of modern times, and it is.  The killing of hundreds of thousands of innocents in wombs annually for decades is the other great moral stain on the nation.  Not incidentally, unborn black babies are killed at horrifically high numbers.

The President made the comments during a speech in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, where he noted the hypocrisy of the Democrats for affirming Black Lives Matter while supporting Planned Parenthood, an organization that President Trump said, was “founded on racism” and that “continues to target the black community.”

He’s not wrong. The abortion industry kills as many black people every four days as the Ku Klux Klan killed in 150 years. Between 1882 and 1968, there were reportedly 3,446 lynchings of black people in the United States. Today, more black people are killed by white abortionists every three days than all who were lynched in those years.  

Emboldened Democrats have discarded the pretense of rare and medically necessary abortions. They now unabashedly promote late-term abortion up to birth.  Their inhumanity and ghoulishness know no bounds. 

The day will arrive when the mass slaughter of the innocent will be seen for the great evil that it is, and with that genuine awakening, Democrats will again be seen as culprits in a colossal evil.  Some things never change.   

Years ago, friends and acquaintances used to think I was being facetious.  “The Democratic Party should have been abolished at the close of the Civil War,” I’d say with a very straight face.  There certainly was justification.  It was the party of slavery, as it had been from its inception.  It’s legislation and policies were catalysts in the ruptures leading to civil war.  Northern Democrats — many known as “Peace Democrats” or more accurately, “Copperheads” — served as a fifth column.  They aided and abetted their rebellious southern fellows.   

Imagine at the end of World War II had the Allies permitted the National Socialist German Workers’ Party to continue?  Regarding moral considerations, where does slavery stack up against the persecution and extermination of the Jews (among others)?  Both are, indeed, evils.  The Germans exploited slave labor as well.  Extermination, though, surpasses slavery as an evil, in that when you take a human being’s life, you take-away any chance of liberty, and the exercise of natural rights that undergird freedom.  Yet, you can argue that any human being who lives, from birth to death, in bondage, suffers a form of death.  Millions of black slaves suffered a form of death. 

Millions of unborn children suffer literal death at the hands of abortionists.  Their rights as human beings discarded with their tortured bodies.  There’s one party that stands squarely for this slaughter, the Democratic Party… the party of riots, racism, rot, and rebellion.
